Another awesome show
I've seen Joe Jordan six times over the years, in every lineup they've had. Simon is still the showman, though he can still shake his booty. It was the first time they ever played it live. Even though this particular set was slightly different than when I saw them last year, they smartly played most of their older music. If I didn't know that they had been touring almost non-stop since last spring, I never would've guessed. They did have one unexpected song in their set: Election Day, an Arcadia song. They still picked the right mix of older and newer songs to make you wanna dance. The only maudlin period of the show was when the band did the brief musical tribute to the late Michael Jackson. What I loved most was the music. I was definitely glad for that song alone. I don't think anyone in the crowd knew it either. I didn't know the song, and I was the only thing I didn't like about the show. This show was just as entertaining as the other five. If you love their music, and love dancing with thousands of other people, just having fun and hanging out. They were cutsy, but such a letdown after seeing their previous opening act Your Vegas. While playing the more recognizable of their newer hits, i.e. Ordinary world, Come undone, and Reach up for the sunrise. I much better band.
